SECURITY & DATA
Your gym. Your data.
Clear answers.
Understand how Pulse handles access, payments and your business records before you choose your software.
Ask us about your requirementsControl who can do what.
Staff permissions can be set by role and adjusted for individual team members. Access to areas such as billing, member records and reports can be managed separately.
Owner-only actions, including the settings data export, require an owner account. Ask us to walk through the permissions your team needs.
Your records belong to you.
Owners can download supported datasets from Settings → Export Data as CSV or JSON, or export the available datasets together as a JSON bundle.
These include members, bookings, check-ins, invoices, leads, staff and equipment records. Data ownership is set out in our Terms of Service.
What does an export include?
The settings export covers 13 datasets, with up to 100,000 rows per dataset. It is a data export, not a complete system backup: some sensitive fields and file content, including waiver signature images, are excluded. Contact us if you need a larger or specific export.
Payments handled by Stripe.
Pulse integrates with Stripe for card payments. Stripe handles card collection and payment processing; Pulse uses payment references and transaction records to manage billing.
Payment methods, availability and fees depend on your country and setup. We confirm these before you commit. View plans and fees.
Know where your data sits.
The Pulse production database is hosted in Sydney, Australia. Connections to the Pulse web app use HTTPS.
Database location does not mean every connected service processes data in Australia. Payment, messaging and AI services have their own processing arrangements. Ask us to review your country and data requirements with you.
Daily database backups.
The production database has daily backups, with seven completed daily backups available when checked on 27 September 2026. Recovery is managed by our team.
Understand the recovery scope
Database backups cover database records. Uploaded file contents are separate from those backups. Point-in-time recovery is not currently enabled, and a daily restore may exclude changes made since the selected backup. Contact us to discuss recovery requirements; we do not promise an instant restore or zero data loss.
